I am new to Kindergarten and few weeks ago had a Full Day Kindergarten (FDK) Training. We were asked to rethink few things and among that list was "Calendar Time". I was wondering if you can share what you do during your calendar time? How long is it? Dos and Don'ts.

I am returning to Kindergarten after teaching second grade for five years. Calendar time is an integral part of math for my little learners. We use number of the day as well as chants and poems that relate to our learning. We discuss weather and work with counting and the hundreds chart. We play games with the number line. When the kids learn the games, they can lead them. If you aren't sure what any of these things are or have other questions, just post here and I will write back.
